Once the 2024/25 season draws to a close, Wolves fans will be waiting anxiously to see which players leave Molineux.
Most supporters have accepted that Matheus Cunha will leave Wolves this summer. The 25-year-old has earned his right to play in the Champions League after double-digit hauls in consecutive campaigns.
Some big clubs are interested in Cunha, who boasts a £62.5 million release clause, handing Vitor Pereira the difficult task of replacing him.
Fosun will pocket a club-record fee for the Brazilian but as history suggests, not all of the money will be pumped into signing a replacement.
A fraction of the amount received will be spent on finding his successor, and one specific player could fit the bill perfectly.

Mohamed Amoura is the perfect Matheus Cunha replacement
While Cunha brings a level of skill and talent that is irreplaceable, Pereira could fill his void emphatically by signing forward Mohamed Amoura.
Wolves were linked with Amoura last summer during his time at Union Saint-Galloise but despite being available for just £17 million, the Wanderers didn’t pounce.
Wolfsburg instead captured the Algerian talent for just £14 million and he’s since seen his stock and value skyrocket, with Amoura now wanted by Arsenal.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
The 24-year-old has enjoyed an incredible debut campaign in the Bundesliga with 10 goals and eight assists in 24 appearances.
But it’s more than just goal involvements that Amoura brings to the table, as his flair, creativity and skill see him rival Cunha statistically.
Matheus Cunha 2024/25 stats Statistic’s in the league Mohamed Amoura 2024/25 stats
13 Goals 10

5.75 Progressive passes received per 90 9.02
2.06 Successful take-ons per 90 1.37

The pair rank similar across an array of attacking metrics, including progressive carries, successful take-ons and pass completion, evincing why Amoura would be a solid replacement.
Rayan Ait-Nouri could persuade Amoura to join Wolves
According to a report from Kicker in January, Wolfsburg have valued their versatile attacker at an estimated €40m (£33 million).
So, with the potential money received from Cunha, he would only cost around half the price and that could be a bargain.
Interest from some big clubs, including Arsenal and Liverpool, makes it increasingly difficult to persuade Amoura to join.
However, that is where wing-back Rayan Ait-Nouri comes into the equation. He plays with Amoura for Algeria, and the Wolfsburg star scored a hat-trick in a 5-1 thumping of Mozambique in a World Cup Qualifier on Tuesday.
Ait-Nouri could persuade his teammate to transfer to Wolves, should interest ever materialise, using the guarantee of regular first-team football as the selling point.
