Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James couldn't be prouder of what his son, Bronny James, did and said after his career game in the G League.
On Monday, Bronny James had the whole basketball world buzzing after he dropped a career-high 39 points to lead the South Bay Lakers to a 122-118 victory over the Santa Cruz Warriors.
The 20-year-old Lakers rookie, drafted 55th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, shot 14-of-21 from the field, including 4-of-8 from deep. He also recorded seven rebounds, four assists, four steals and one block in what was undoubtedly his best game as a pro.
After the game, Bronny James was asked what he's proving with such sensational performance. In response, he sent a clear and confident message about his game.
"I belong out here," Bronny James stated, per Timothy Parker of Spectrum LA. "That's all I'm trying to prove. A lot of people say that I don't. So I just come out and work every day, try to get better every day, and prove myself every day."
LeBron James, for his part, saw Bronny James' statement and shared it on his Instagram Stories. The Lakers star didn't write any word and only captioned his post with multiple emojis showing a face with look of triumph.
