There are growing concerns among Manchester City players about the form of Phil Foden, according to a fresh report. Foden, 24, has not scored or set up a team-mate in the Premier League for over two months and only has seven goals and two assists across the entire campaign.
These numbers starkly contrast with his performances last season, where he was named PFA Players Player of the Year and Premier League Player of the Season.
Another indicator of Foden's recent struggles is that he has not completed 90 minutes for club or country across all competitions in over a month. That comes amid claims the player has lost weight.
The Daily Mail reports that City players are said to have private concerns about their team-mate after noticing his apparent weight loss amid a claim he has moved his family out of Manchester.
They also suggest he was "frustrated" at being moved out wide to accommodate Jude Bellingham for England during the European Championship.
That position playing off the left is a position Foden has struggled in this season for City. While he remains a regular for Pep Guardiola, it stated that Foden's spot in the team is far from secure as Thomas Tuchel is not keen to carry "passengers" in his squad.
The new England head coach spoke about Foden after the 2-0 win over Albania.
"Phil is just maybe not finding the momentum at the moment that he can have." Tuchel said.
He then acknowledged: "For Phil, it's a difficult season in the club. He comes from several weeks where he does not find the rhythm that he found last season, things are not so easy for him, so we called him up to show him our support and our love and our commitment."
Foden played 74 minutes in England's first match before being replaced by Jarrod Bowen. He then came on for Bellingham midway through the second game versus Latvia.
