The Cleveland Browns hold the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. With that pick, they could finally find the franchise quarterback they have been needing.
Shedeur Sanders is the popular pick for many Browns fans. However, there is no good intel right now about what Cleveland will actually choose to do.
Over the last week, the Browns have been heavily linked as a potential suitor for veteran quarterback Russell Wilson. Those hopes ended on Tuesday when Wilson agreed to sign a one-year deal with the New York Giants worth up to $21 million with $10.5 million guaranteed.
That move could force Cleveland to pull the trigger on Sanders.
One NFL analyst suggested that theory following Wilson's decision to sign with the Giants.
Steve Palazzolo of "Check The Mic" believes that New York signing Wilson could mean that it knows the Browns are going to take Sanders. He shared that theory in a post on X.

In the comments on Palazzolo's post, fans were buzzing about the theory.
"It sure makes a lot of sense unless you assume the Browns are going to run with Kenny Pickett for the whole year. Russ was the final realistic option," one comment read.
Another commenter wrote, "Don't get my hopes up please."
One fan doesn't think Palazzolo's theory is correct, writing, "Highly doubt it and a 1 year deal with Russ isn't stopping anyone from drafting a QB."
"Or they simply don't think Shedeur is any good," a fan responded.
A final comment was more directed at Deion Sanders, saying, "Prime said he'd love for Shedeur to play for CLE. When the rumor to CLE got quiet he said he'd prefer Shedeur goes to NY. Next week he's going to say the Pats are a perfect fit."
Sanders will find out where he's going to begin his NFL career on April 24 when the first round of the 2025 draft begins.
