Jaxson Dart Receives Shocking Landing Spot Suggestion from Former NFL GM

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart has been one of the most talked about prospects in the 2025 NFL draft class over the past couple of weeks. He has been projected anywhere from the top-10 or down into the 20's.

Dart is widely viewed as the No. 3 quarterback in the class behind Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders. With many teams needing quarterback help, there is no telling where he may end up landing.

Both the New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers have been heavily connected as potential suitors for Dart. Another surprising landing spot has been suggested for him.

Former NFL general manager Mike Tannenbaum spoke out about Dart. He connected the young Ole Miss standout to an intriguing NFC team.

During an appearance on ESPN, Tannenbaum said that Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams would be a perfect destination for Dart.

He believes that Dart would become the heir apparent to Matthew Stafford.

"If the four of us were running the Rams, we have to assume that Matthew Stafford is a year-to-year proposition. If you can get Jaxson Dart, who led the NCAA in yards for pass attempts, which tells me he gets the ball down the field, as we're looking at here. He has great upside, and if you can pair Jaxson Dart with Sean McVay, sign me up!" Tannenbaum said.

Bleacher Report has made an interesting comparison for Dart. They actually believe he's similar to a former Rams quarterback.

That quarterback is none other than Carson Wentz.

In 2024 with the Rebels, Dart completed 69.3% of his pass attempts for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also picked up 495 yards and three more scores on the ground.
