On Wednesday, Nigeria recorded a 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe in a World Cup qualifier.
Osimhen scored twice in Nigeria’s 2-0 win over Rwanda last week. Now, he’s followed it up with an excellent headed goal versus Zimbabwe.
Chelsea supporters on social media reacted to the 26-year-old striker’s latest heroics for his country by insisting they need to sign him in the summer.
One fan said: “What a header by Osimhen.”
“Victor Osimhen has the X factor,” another posted.

In a recent interview, Claude Makelele urged Chelsea to sign Osimhen because he thinks he could be the perfect fit for them. Without a doubt, he’s the type of proven goalscorer that the Blues are missing in their ranks.

Chelsea transfer links with Victor Osimhen
Chelsea have a desire to sign Osimhen despite the fact he joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli last summer.
The latest transfer speculation claims that Napoli want to sell Osimhen to the highest bidder. Interestingly, he’s currently got a release clause worth around £62m.
If Chelsea are serious about bringing in Osimhen, they should put everything into signing the African forward ahead of next season. It’s the type of new addition that could immediately elevate the starting XI.
The fact that Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain like Osimhen could only complicate to a very important transfer battle in the next window.
