Ukraine, Norway discuss defense cooperation, energy resilience in Kyiv

**ISTANBUL**

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on Wednesday met with Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide and Minister of Labour and Inclusion Tonje Brenna in Kyiv to discuss defense industry cooperation, energy resilience, and recovery efforts.

In a statement on X, Sybiha said the talks followed agreements reached last week between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store in Oslo.

“I am grateful to the Norwegian government, parliament, municipalities, and all Norwegians for their unwavering and long-standing support for Ukraine in our fight for freedom, security, and shared principles,” he said.

The meeting also addressed food security and other pressing issues, while Sybiha briefed the Norwegian delegation on Ukraine’s diplomatic efforts, including discussions in Saudi Arabia aimed at achieving a “fair peace.”
