According to TBR Football, the Midlands side are weighing up whether to make a move for Noni Madueke from Chelsea. The Englishman looks to have fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge, and Villa have set their sights on him, as they see him as someone who could replace Leon Bailey, who appears likely to leave Villa Park this summer.

Teams such as Tottenham and Newcastle are also interested in signing the Chelsea man, but AC Milan are the ones who face the biggest barrier to Villa, as they have already made an offer worth £33 million to sign Madueke. Milan believe that is enough to bring the Englishman to Italy, but Villa are still interested and haven’t given up on the idea of also making a move.
Aston Villa looking to tie down player who is key for Emery
It is not just new signings that the Villa board are looking at; they also want to keep their best players at the club beyond this summer. According to The Telegraph, relayed by Birmingham Live, Aston Villa have opened discussions over a new contract for midfielder Boubacar Kamara.

The report states that Kamara, who has been important for Villa since joining on a free transfer in 2023, is seen as a ‘crucial part’ of Emery’s plans at Villa Park going forward. The Villans were looking to tie down the midfielder to a new long-term contract once the January transfer window had closed, but talks never got going. It is now being reported that talks between the club and his representatives are underway.
An agreement between Villa and Kamara, who earns £150,000 at Villa Park, is expected to be reached without any issues. The 25-year-old is under contract until the summer of 2027, and while it doesn’t say how long the new deal will be, he is expected to commit to a long-term deal.
The French midfielder, who has been described as “strong” by journalist Jacob Tanswell this season, missed the start of this campaign due to an ACL injury he picked up last season, but once he returned to full fitness has been an important figure in the Villa midfield, starting 13 of the 17 games he has played in the Premier League.
Kamara has also started six of the eight Champions League games he has been available for and will likely be crucial for their upcoming quarter-final tie against Paris Saint-Germain.
