Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly among a host of European clubs keeping tabs on Greek talents Babis Kostoulas and Christos Mouzakitis. The teenage duo clinched the UEFA Youth League with Olympiacos' Under-19s last term and have since made their breakthrough into the senior squad this season.
Kostoulas, a 17-year-old forward, has netted six times in 21 league outings for Olympiacos, while 18-year-old midfielder Mouzakitis has been a constant presence with 30 appearances across all competitions.
Mouzakitis also earned his first international cap in November, featuring as a substitute against Finland, and played a part in Greece's UEFA Nations League play-off triumph over Scotland recently. A report from the Sun suggests that Kostoulas and Mouzakitis are drawing attention from numerous clubs across Europe.
Both United and Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the pair, with Aston Villa, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Juventus also showing interest. Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Tottenham are rumoured to be considering a move for Kostoulas, while Mouzakitis is also on the watchlist of Atletico Madrid, Brighton, Villarreal and Wolves, reports the Mirror.
The Greek duo aren't the only players on the radar of both United and Arsenal this summer, with Sporting CP star Francisco Trincao also being eyed. United manager Ruben Amorim is believed to be keen on reuniting with the winger, having previously managed him at both Sporting and Braga.
United are thought to be in the market for a quality winger, with expectations that Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Antony could all make exits after temporary stints away from Old Trafford. Arsenal are in a similar boat with Mikel Arteta also looking to beef up his attacking options. The Gunners have felt the strain upfront this term with key forwards Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, and Bukayo Saka hit by serious injuries.
Arteta openly expressed his frustration over Arsenal's lack of new firepower during the January transfer window and is thought to be keen to add quality to the squad in the summer. "We had a clear intention which is there is a window open," Arteta reflected.
"For the players that can impact it, we haven't achieved it. We are disappointed. But we are very aware that we only want to bring certain types of player.
"The intention the improve the squad if we have the capacity to do it. We focus in the things that we have to continue to do. It was a combination of things."
