As NFL teams work to upgrade their rosters in the season, they will always lean on their existing players on the roster from the season prior.
That always means young players will be counted on to take the next step. With that in mind, Pro Football Network identified a player from all 32 teams who they expect to step up and make a big leap in the 2025 season,
The website believes the Las Vegas Raiders’ player who is most ready to take a big step forward this season is cornerback Jakorian Bennett.
The fourth-round pick in 20223 was having a strong 2024 campaign when it was cut short in November with a shoulder injury. So, choosing Bennett to be the player who takes a big step forward makes sense.
He should be ready to continue to provide strong coverage and ball skills when he’s back to health. The Raiders will surely welcome continued strides from Bennett as they have a need for young players to deliver at the cornerback position.
