A number of Leicester City stars have been featuring for their respective nations on international duty.
Several Leicester players were selected for World Cup qualifiers and Nations League fixtures across the globe.
Nearly all of them featured in at least one of the games with the exception of Mads Hermansen, who was an unused substitute in Denmark’s double-header against Portugal, and Danny Ward, who was on the bench for Wales.
Thankfully for Ruud van Nistelrooy, there were no new injury concerns to report but he may be concerned with how some of the Leicester players fared on with their respective international sides.

Wout Faes (Belgium) – 6
Wout Faes has received plenty of criticism for performances this season but in his only appearance for Belgium this international break, was singled out for playing well.
Belgian media praised Faes as he formed part of an XI that cruised to a 3-0 win against Ukraine in the second leg of their Nations League clash.
The centre-back has been in and out of the Leicester team but maybe he will have a strong end to the season.
Jannik Vestergaard (Denmark) – 7
A relatively solid international break for Jannik Vestergaard, all things considered.
MORE LEICESTER STORIES
Vestergaard was in the spotlight after bringing his dog to training but put his difficulties at club level aside and the Leicester defender was ‘colossus’ in the first leg against Portugal.
He was also in the lineup for the hammering in the second leg, but if he can replicate his form and passion for Denmark at Leicester, he may wins some fans back over.
Victor Kristiansen (Denmark) – 5
Victor Kristiansen looked likely to be frozen out of the Danish team after comments from Brian Riemer but was given an unexpected opportunity when he replaced the injured Patrick Dorgu in the second leg against Portugal.
Unfortunately, Kristiansen failed his Denmark audition and his introduction led to his side collapsing and losing 5-2 on the night.
Jordan Ayew (Ghana) – 8
A brilliant international break for Jordan Ayew and Ghana. Not only did he captain the Black Stars, he also scored and assisted in the 5-0 win against Chad, before grabbing a hat trick of assists in a 3-0 win against Madagascar.
Ghanian media were ‘blown away’ by Ayew’s masterclass in the second game of the break and it’ll be a much-needed confidence boost.
Bilal El Khannouss (Morocco) – 9
Bilal El Khannouss is the talk of the town for all the right reasons yet again after the youngster featured in both of Morocco’s World Cup qualifier.
El Khannouss scored the winner against Niger before featuring again in a 2-0 victory against Tanzania, where Morocco fans labelled El Khannouss ‘world class’.
It’s performances that have got Arsenal interested in the Leicester midfielder as his stock continues to rise.
Wilfred Ndidi (Nigeria) – 4
A very disappointing international break for Wilfred Ndidi.
Nigeria fans were particularly critical of Ndidi after their 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe, with some even calling for him to be dropped from the national team set up altogether.
With Galatasaray interested in the £15m star, there is a chance the midfielder could be using the rest of the season to put himself in the shop window, but not many will be interested if he plays like he did for his country.
Bobby De Cordova-Reid (Jamaica) – 6
No goals for Bobby De Cordova-Reid, but Gold Cup qualification was secured for Jamaica against Saint Vincent & The Grenadines.
De Cordova-Reid started both games for the Reggae Boyz as they drew 1-1 in the first leg before winning the second one comfortably.
The wide man actually started in the number 10 role for Jamaica and did enough to help his nation.
Elsewhere, youngster Louis Page impressed whilst on duty with England U17s and as for players out on loan, Hamza Choudhury made Premier League history by becoming the first player to represent Bangladesh.
Choudhury posted an emotional message on Instagram after making his international debut in a goalless draw against India.
