Sean Dyche has told Gary Lineker what he feels about his time at Everton before being sacked at Goodison Park.

The English manager spent around two years at the Toffees before The Friedkin Group (TFG) eventually decided to replace him.

Dyche came to Goodison Park during a time when the Blues were fighting a relegation battle under the ownership of Farhad Moshiri, with several things out of place behind the scenes.

David Moyes is flying in the Premier League on his return to the Merseyside outfit, seemingly highlighting the inadequacies of the former Burnley manager.

Everton criticism unfair on Dyche

Dyche is happy with what he was able to achieve at Everton before his eventual sacking.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

The English manager disagrees with the criticism directed towards him for not being able to achieve certain things at the Toffees.

Dyche’s record in the Premier League at Everton this season.

Dyche is “at ease” with his tenure at the Blues and seems more than happy with his time at Goodison Park.

Speaking on The Rest Is Football (26 March), the former Burnley head coach told Lineker: “People are making all these stories as if he didn’t do this, he didn’t do that. I’m more than at ease with what I did [at Everton].”

Moyes makes Dyche look silly at Goodison Park

Moyes has made Dyche look silly at Everton after bringing the best out of the squad at his disposal and pulling them out of the relegation battle.

The Scottish manager has had the same squad, barring the addition of Carlos Alcaraz from Flamengo in the winter transfer window.

While Dyche was unable to unlock the attacking potential of the Toffees, Moyes has turned Beto into a reliable centre-forward.

The Scotsman has had to deal with fitness issues to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti but has still managed to turn things around.

Everton are on an eight-game unbeaten run in the Premier League after their 1-1 draw with West Ham United at Goodison Park on 15 March.

While the Toffees’ faithful were glad to see Dyche securing their place in the English top flight in recent seasons, they were frustrated with the style of play.

The Blues looked out of ideas in all areas of the pitch under the former Burnley head coach, and Moyes has brought some much-needed change.

Dyche may feel the criticism is unfair, but his work on the pitch at Goodison Park wasn’t encouraging.
