Estevao Willian sends eight-word Chelsea message as wonderkid shows true colours

Estevao Willian has revealed he is "very anxious" to join Chelsea in the summer with the Palmeiras star preparing for his move to England in the next months.

The 17-year-old winger is well regarded as one of the most exciting talents in world football right now and will officially become a Blues player when the summer comes around. Estevao was signed by Chelsea in the summer of 2024 for an initial £34million, although that fee could rise significantly depending on performance-related add-ons inserted into his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Estevao will be part of the Palmeiras squad to take part in this summer's revamped FIFA Club World Cup in the United States. The new-look competition features 32 teams, including Chelsea, and will be played all over the US. It is set to begin in mid-June and goes on for around a month, meaning by the time Estevao officially moves to Chelsea, it will be July.

The Brazilian teenage sensation cannot wait to finally move to west London, though, sending a simple eight-word message to supporters in a recent interview. "All the time, I'm very anxious to go," Estevao said on the Denilson Show when asked about his move to Chelsea in the summer.

Estevao was an unused substitute in both of Brazil's World Cup qualifiers in the past week in a win against Colombia and a defeat to Argentina. Also included in the Brazil squad are Premier League players Murillo from Nottingham Forest and Manchester City winger Savinho, who have both been giving Estevao some tips ahead of his summer switch.

The soon-to-be Chelsea attacker added: "And they come and talk to me, give me tips. Murillo, Savinho... I ask them how this is, how that is. These things are important for getting there to have less difficulty in adapting."

It is an exciting time for Chelsea supporters with Estevao to come in the summer and he will joined by fellow wonderkids Andrey Santos and Kendry Paez. The latter was signed two summers ago and will officially be at Stamford Bridge this summer, while Santos has been enjoying a loan spell at BlueCo-owned Strasbourg this season.

Santos has been speaking recently about his excitement over forming a partnership with his Brazilian compatriot Estevao. "Estevao is a top quality player, world-class," Santos said recently. "God willing, he will go far and we can create a great duo at Chelsea, a duo of Brazilians."
