Manchester City could be face with a decision of whether to cash in on a Pep Guardiola stalwart with Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce side eyeing transfer for goalkeeper Ederson

Jose Mourinho is eyeing a deal for Manchester City star Ederson as he looks to strengthen his Fenerbahce side for next season. The Turkish giants have been unable to keep pace with Galatasaray in the Super Lig so far this term and trail by nine points, albeit with a game in hand.
Mourinho's Yellow Canaries are making a headstart on their summer preparations and Pep Guardiola's Brazilian goalkeeper appears to be on the agenda. The 31-year-old's future came under scrutiny ahead of this season and now the end of his tenure in the Premier League could be near.
The goalkeeper last signed a five-year contract at the Etihad in 2021 and will reach the final 12 months of his deal come the summer. Ederson has previously commanded interest from the Saudi Pro League, reportedly from Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr. They were rumoured to be willing o push the boat out on a £900,000-a-week deal.
Fenerbahce are said to want to make a splash however, and are also targeting Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic, who is also heading into the last year of his agreement, per Fanatik. Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar and Bayer Leverkusen centre forward Patrik Schick are t he club's back-up options it is claimed.

After enduring an uncertain transfer window ahead of 2024/25, Ederson revealed on the eve of the season that he would remain with the club. The ball-playing shotstopper suggested a conversation with Guardiola and other members of the club proved pivtoal.
“I spoke to Pep, and it was crucial… I’m happy to stay and fully focused on winning more titles here. I also spoke to the board, directors, and teammates, and I’m staying," he said in August.
Ahead of that moment, there had been little in the way of conviction that he would stay a the club. "I don’t know – he has to see maybe now other options,” said Guardiola during the window.
Manchester City will make one final attempt hang on to Ederson
“Of course, I’d like him to stay. It depends now on the clubs. I don’t know the situation.
“No contact in the last days. A question of training and being with us until the transfer window finishes and we will see what happens.”
Despite ambitions of more silverware, Ederson can only hope to lay a glove on the FA Cup this season. Manchester City are off the pace in the Premier league, 22 points behind leaders Liverpool.
Ederson has also seen difficulties in his own game On occasion, Guardiola's No.1 has been dispatched to the bench with Stefan Ortega preferred as first choice.
