Chelsea could once again be busy this summer, with head coach Enzo Maresca likely to want to bolster his squad ahead of next term.
The Italian has endured a mixed debut season in London, with his side having sat second in the Premier League table at Christmas before falling to fourth in the weeks since.
The Italian will be happy with his side’s season so far, however, with the West London outfit on course to qualify for the Champions League next term.
Away from the action, it has emerged that one of Chelsea’s loanees is keen on the idea of a shock move to Turkey.
According to Turkish outfit Sporx via Chelsea.news, forward Joao Felix has told his agent, Jorge Mendes, to explore a potential move to Galatasaray.
The report claims that the 25-year-old, who is currently on loan at Italian side AC Milan, is keen for Chelsea to agree a deal with the Super Lig giants.
Having previously spent time on loan at Stamford Bridge, Felix returned to SW6 permanently last summer but struggled to force his way into Maresca’s starting XI.
Felix struggled to establish himself as a regular for Chelsea during the first half of this season
The Portugal international was primarily used in the Europa Conference League and domestic cup competitions, and was then loaned to Milan in January.
Having scored on his debut for Milan, the Portuguese has since failed to find the back of the net in nine subsequent appearances.
It is claimed that the players salary is currently viewed as the biggest obstacle to a potential deal, with Galatasaray hoping to agree an initial loan deal with an option-to-buy clause included.
At present, Felix is expected to return to Chelsea prior to their participation in the Club World Cup in the United States this summer, and the report claims that the player could still be reintegrated into Maresca’s squad.
