This is hardly the first time that the Seleçao position has been proposed to Ancelotti, who already turned it down in recent years.
Following last night’s humiliating 4-1 World Cup qualifying defeat to old rivals Argentina, the CBF started looking beyond current coach Dorival Junior.
According to GE Globo, the federation resumed contact with Ancelotti’s entourage and requested a meeting with the Italian.
Ancelotti future at Real Madrid far from secure

Any decision will have to wait until after Real Madrid’s participation in the Club World Cup, which is played in the USA in June and mid-July.
By that point, Brazil will have already played World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are still keeping Ancelotti on edge, with reports they could fire him if he doesn’t win the Champions League again, or beat Barcelona to LaLiga.
The former Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss has also been linked with a return to Serie A for Roma.
He was in Italy last night to receive a special award.
