Everton will be a very busy club this summer, and fans can’t wait for a new chapter to begin at the club.
The Toffees have all but sealed Premier League survival, after David Moyes succeeded Sean Dyche in January and turned things around.
Moyes has had a transformational impact, guiding Everton to 17 points clear of the relegation zone.
The club is in a positive moment right now, and eyes are already on this summer and the preparations for next season.
There will be a lot of changes in the coming months, with players leaving and new faces arriving – and not just in the dressing room.
Everton are still yet to name a successor to director of Kevin Thewell. But it’s expected a hire will be made soon.
Everton fans have not heard a great deal from TFG since they arrived on Merseyside, with some wondering what the ambitions are for the club in the coming years.
But one report has suggested there’s a good reason for that.

When the American owners first took the club over, fans got to hear a bit about their plans.
The Friedkin Group’s first words were fairly short and sweet, with Marc Watts – executive chairman – saying: “We are deeply committed to honouring this legacy while contributing positively to the community, economy, and people of this remarkable city.”
There has never really been anything about footballing objectives, long-term goals and ambitions, and The i Paper has now reported one reason for the ‘relative silence’ from the new owners.
And it relates to the new incoming CEO at Everton, Angus Kinnear.
The publication claims that Evertonians ‘can expect a bit more tubthumping when new chief executive Angus Kinnear gets to work later this year’.
It is stated that the lack of communication over ambitions is deliberate from TFG, as they want to wait for Kinnear and others to come in and ‘stamp their mark’.
A wise approach from The Friedkins
It has been a positive first few months at the helm for The Friedkin Group.
Of course, Everton pulling away from the relegation zone has helped massively in terms of raising the mood.
But ultimately it was TFG’s call to appoint Moyes.
That decision will give Evertonians hope that the new owners will make more smart calls.
It is wise that they haven’t been talking too much about specific ambitions right from the off. Because there is still uncertainty, and lots of things that need to be done, appointments to be made and players to be signed.
Once Kinnear is in place, hopefully he and his team can set out a clearer picture of where Everton intend to be in the coming weeks, months and years.
