Borussia Dortmund will NOT try to re-sign Jadon Sancho with his Chelsea future now up in the air. The England winger joined the Blues on loan from Manchester United in the summer but he has endured a frustrating season in West London.
Sancho has struggled for consistency since moving to Stamford Bridge. And it has now been claimed that Chelsea could try and back out of their obligation to buy him for £25m by paying a £5m penalty.

As it stands, Enzo Maresca’s side will still complete a deal for Sancho’s services albeit he is not particularly convinced. It has been suggested that Sancho wants a move back to former club Borussia Dortmund - having spent the second-half of last season on loan in Germany - and has even gone as far as submitting a transfer request.
And the Bundesliga side's stance over a return to the Westfalenstadion has now been revealed. According to Sky in Germany, Dortmund are unlikely to move ahead with a move for Sancho as it stands.

Dortmund are apparently well stocked for wingers ahead of next season, while their finances would likely be a major hurdle in any deal. It all means that Sancho looks set to stay with Chelsea for the time being should they not activate their penalty clause. That is despite ex-Blues star William Gallas claiming he should not have a future at Stamford Bridge.
"He's a talented player, everybody knows this, but we don't know why he can't perform and can't show what he can do," Gallas said. "At Dortmund, he was magnificent. At Manchester United it didn't work well for him. He came to Chelsea and at the beginning we saw that Sancho from Dortmund, but then he disappeared.
"I don’t know what the problem is, but at the moment he can’t stay at Chelsea because he has to do more. When you play in the Premier League you have to play every game at the highest level. It’s not easy, but you can’t just play well for a few games and then chill out."

Meanwhile, Sancho has been told that he could still have a role to play under Ruben Amorin at Man United. Dan Micciche, who coached Sancho in England's youth setup, said: "Jadon would have to play as a left-sided No.10, I couldn't see him play as a wing-back," "Can he play there? Yeah, absolutely. I think he could play for Ruben Amorim in his system.
"It might actually suit him more - in terms of freeing him up. He wouldn't be hugging the touchline as much, he would in middle of the pitch more and would have more options when he gets the ball."
