The Los Angeles Lakers are in the midst of another slump after losing back-to-back games. This comes in the form of an embarrassing 146-115 loss to the Chicago Bulls at Crypto.com Arena on Saturday, followed by a 118-106 defeat against the Orlando Magic on Monday.
The Lakers are back in action on Wednesday in another road game as they head to Indianapolis to battle the 42-29 Indiana Pacers.
There was some doubt surrounding LeBron James' status for the contest as the NBA's all-time leading scorer continues to deal with a lingering groin injury. James missed seven straight games because of this same issue, and he hasn't exactly been in vintage form in the two matchups he's played in since his return.
The Lakers, however, have now made a final decision on the 40-year-old's playing status on Wednesday night. The team has confirmed via the official injury report that James will suit up against the Pacers.
This is obviously good news for the Lakers, who will be looking to get back to the W column against an Indiana side that enters Wednesday's battle on a five-game winning streak.
L.A., on the other hand, has a 43-28 record ahead of the game, and is currently ranked fifth in the West. They are, however, just half a game behind the Memphis Grizzlies, who are at 44-28.
