Stephen A. Smith threatens to tarnish LeBron’s legacy

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith and Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James have been involved in an extremely public back-and-forth as of late. Things started when MSith pleaded with James to take his son, Bronny, out of the NBA.

“I am pleading with LeBron James as a father: Stop this,” Smith said at the time. “Stop this. We all know that Bronny James is in the NBA because of his dad.”

This led to the now infamous confrontation of Smith by LeBron in the middle of a Lakers game. Smith followed up the incident with a media tour of sorts condemning the move by James.

The saga continued on Wednesday afternoon when James addressed things in an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

“Stephen A Smith is on a Taylor Swift tour run right now. He completely missed the whole point.. He got personal with it, and it’s my job to not only protect my own household but also all the players,” James said in the interview, which lasted over an hour.

Smith got wind of James’ words, and suffice to say, he isn’t happy at all about what he heard.

“When you retire let’s see how much I talk about you then. You won’t matter much. I promise you,” Smith said, according to Legion Hoops.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens next in the public spat.
