HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 25 (ACN) Esteban Lazo Hernandez, president of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba (Parliament) is paying an official visit to the Russian Federation to keep strengthening the close historic and strategic relations between the two countries.
On Tuesday, joined by Ivan Melnikov, First Deputy Speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and Deputy Chairman of the Russian Communist Party, Mr. Lazo laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow, built in honor of the heroes who defeated fascism.
During his stay, the Cuban official will meet with Russian authorities and preside over the Second Session of the Commission for Cooperation between the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the National Assembly of People's Power together with his counterpart Vyacheslav Volodin.
