Russell Wilson Makes First Public Appearance in New York After Giants Move

Russell Wilson is wasting no time getting himself adjusted to his new home.

News broke on Tuesday that the 10-time Pro Bowl quarterback had agreed to sign a one-year contract with the New York Giants in a deal that is reportedly worth up to $21 million.

Wilson is now in New York, and he made a major public appearance on Wednesday night. The 36-year-old QB was sitting courtside at Madison Square Garden as the New York Knicks hosted the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Knicks took to social media to shout out Russell.

"giving @DangeRussWilson a New York welcome " the Knicks posted on X.

Wilson smiled and waved at the camera before signing a football that he threw toward the crowd.

The Giants are investing a considerable amount of money in Wilson, and they are hoping that that arm will lead them to a much better campaign than their 3-14 finish in 2024.

There's no denying that Wilson is getting up there in years, but he did prove last season with the Pittsburgh Steelers that he still has a lot of gas left in the tank. However, whether or not this will be enough to lead the Giants to a potential playoff run in 2025 remains to be seen.
