Jayson Tatum’s Reaction to Strange Nickname Leaves Travis Kelce, Jason Kelce in Stitches

Obviously, Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum doesn't like one nickname he has been given, as he shared with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and former NFL star Jason Kelce.

The Celtics forward was the latest guest on the Kelce brothers' podcast, "New Heights." They discussed the NBA star's basketball journey, his childhood and of course, the amusing story behind his quirky nicknames.

In a clip shared by "New Heights," the Chiefs TE mentioned Tatum's nickname, "The Anomaly," as seen on Wikipedia.

"Has anybody that is close to you ever actually called you, 'The Anomaly'?" he asked.

Tatum responded shyly, saying, "Twitter is not a safe place. I'll say that," which sent the two hosts into laughter.

Tatum's statement prompted the former Philadelphia Eagles center to reveal his honest thoughts, saying he would embrace the nickname if he were in Tatum's shoes.

"I would run with that one. I like it. ‘The Anomaly' is a good one. I don't know who came up with that," Jason Kelce said, to which Travis Kelce responded, "It is a banger."

The moniker originated when an X user suggested calling the Celtics star "The Anomaly" due to his versatility on the court.

"I think Tatum's nickname should be The Anomaly. Handles like someone 6 inches shorter, shoots pull-ups like a guard, finishes at the rim like a center, and consistently defends 1-5," the post read, which quickly went viral, catching Tatum's attention.
