In Strands, the player must carry out a modified version of the traditional word search. Up, down, left, right, and diagonal letters can be joined to form words, but words can also shift direction to create oddball patterns and forms. Each letter in the grid will be a component of a response. Every solution has a common subject, and each one is connected by a "spangram," which is a unique word or phrase that either horizontally or vertically spans the entire grid and encapsulates the theme of the day.

In the word game Strands, players use a 6x8 grid of letters to find words that fit a theme.
To finish the puzzle, the board must be completely filled; no words will overlap.
The "spangram," a challenge word that touches two opposing sides of the board, is a part of every game.
The spangram will highlight yellow, while the themed words will highlight blue.
To get hints, players might look for non-theme words. Each of the three non-theme words will reveal a clue!
