Camera Catches LeBron James’ Sideline Exchange With Tyrese Haliburton’s Dad

LeBron James was playing through a groin injury on Wednesday night as the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The NBA's all-time leading scorer ended up struggling in this one. So much so, that James entered the fourth quarter with just three points to his name, thereby putting his all-time record for the longest streak of double-digit scoring games in jeopardy.

At one point in the third quarter, the Lakers superstar was seen having a bit of a playful exchange with the father of Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton. John Haliburton was sitting courtside for the matchup, and the two were caught on camera having a laugh as they exchanged words during a deadball situation.

It is unclear what was said between the two, but it did seem like they were having a playful round of trash talking. Both men had big smiles on their faces, which goes to show that this was nothing more than friendly banter.

Whatever the case might be, James came out firing in the fourth quarter. He dropped 10 points in the final frame to keep his record of 1,283 consecutive games of scoring at least 10 points alive.

This included a buzzer-beating tip-in from the four-time NBA champ that saw the Lakers escape with a thrilling 120-119 victory.

Thanks in large part to James' heroics in crunch time, the Lakers were able to snap their three-game losing streak. They have improved to 44-28 after Wednesday's victory and remain fifth in the Western Conference.

Up next for James and Co. is a matchup against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night.
