Mikel Arteta is already welcoming players back to training after the recent international break. Arsenal will have full focus on Tuesday night's game against Fulham knowing a win would reduce the gap to Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table to just nine points, albeit the Reds would have a game in hand.
The Gunners know they're going to need a faultless run between now and the end of the season if they are to win the Premier League title, with a double header against Real Madrid in the Champions League also on the horizon.
Arsenal are also continuing to be linked with a number of players ahead of an important summer transfer window, which will hopefully see them kick on again next season.
Football.london has taken a look at the latest Arsenal transfer news from around the globe.
Real Madrid plotting Martin Zubimendi hijack
Real Madrid are reportedly planning on hijacking Arsenal's move for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi this summer after an impressive campaign.
Reports earlier this season claimed the Gunners were in pole position to land the Spanish international but now face competition from the La Liga giants to sign the 26-year-old.
El Partidazo de COPE claims Real are pushing hard to sign the midfielder this summer, who infamously turned down a move to Liverpool in the most recent summer transfer window.
Football.london says: "It would be disappointing if Real Madrid were to steal a march on Arsenal and sign Zubimendi this summer, with central midfield and area that needs addressing. With Jorginho and Thomas Partey out of contract, signing the Spanish international would be a huge statement of intent."
Aston Villa enter race to sign Real Madrid star
Arsenal look set to face competition from Aston Villa if they want to sign Real Madrid star Arda Guler in the upcoming summer transfer window. Villa's sporting director Monchi broke his silence on the club's interest in the player.
Speaking to Radio Marca, he said: “I know him well because he’s a player that every sporting director has followed in his career since Turkey.
“He’s a player who met a number of requirements and could be attractive to Aston Villa because we were looking for that position. It’s not the same position as Marcos Asensio but we’re more or less looking for that profile between the lines who can play as a No.10 and who can even play on the outside while coming in.
“Personally, I think he’s a player with very good technical skills, and I also think he has personality – he shows it when he plays for the national team. There, he takes on roles that aren’t associated with his age.”
However, Guler himself has played down a move away from Real Madrid. He said: “Personally, my only desire is to play in every game and help my team win every title. Real Madrid gave me a plan and I still believe in it.
“I’m sure I’ll succeed at Real Madrid, I’ve even bought a house in Madrid. I came to Real Madrid to play and be an important part of this team. And I won’t stop fighting until I achieve that.”
football.london says: "Arsenal's transfer business this summer will be dependent on who the next sporting director is. Links with Guler are not fresh, but as things stand, it's difficult to see how the summer window pans out with other areas of the pitch in need of strengthening before an attacking midfielder comes through the door."
