AFC Bournemouth confirmed their promotion to the National League Southern Premier Division with four games to spare, piling on top of their 100% record of 18 wins out of 18, conceding just three goals all season.
It has been a campaign of dominance, hard work, and standout individual moments, Strippel delivering on two of them in the space of four days. Having joined from Swindon Town at the start of the season, Strippel is having an amazing debut season at Bournemouth.
“Surreal at the moment. I just can’t believe it,” she said following Sunday’s 2-0 win over Bristol Rovers.
“We’ve worked so hard for this from day one. Now it’s all over, we’ve done it with four games to go as well.”

After coming on at half-time with the score poised at 1-0, she delivered a superb cross from the left hand side that was met at the back post by Katie James, who volleyed it home to secure the win.
“I didn’t even realise I was coming on at halftime, so I had about two minutes \[to prepare\],” Strippel said.
“I’m so glad, really. Otherwise, I would have probably overthought it all.”
The assist was another moment of quality from the in-form winger.
“I thought I overhit it to start with and then all of a sudden she’s there and she’s got on the end of it,” she explained.
“KJ’s been outstanding for the whole season, for us, and I am so glad for her that go her moment to shine, as she has done in loads of previous games as well.”

Strippel went on to praise her teammates at AFC Bournemouth,
She said: “This is a special group. Special group of players, coaching staff. Everyone involved with the club is unbelievable.”
