Chelsea have new striker transfer priority and£28m decision left to make for Enzo Maresca

There has been plenty of talk and speculation regarding incomings at Stamford Bridge over the 2025 summer transfer window, but there are set to be several players offloaded by Chelsea as well.

All the conversation has been about signing a new striker and while that is Chelsea's priority going into the summer, football.london understands, there will also need to be numerous players heading for the exit door. The futures of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Trevoh Chalobah and Christopher Nkunku remain uncertain for different reasons, while there are a host of younger players that could do with loan moves in time for the 2025/26 campaign to start.

Aaron Anselmino was recalled from his loan with Boca Juniors over the January transfer window with Chelsea, at the time, short on centre-back options due to injuries. The Argentine defender, though, has still not been used under Enzo Maresca despite making the matchday squad on two occasions.

Anselmino completed a move to Chelsea last summer but remained at Boca Juniors on loan up until January. The Blues integrated the 19-year-old straight into the first-team squad at Cobham but the club were keen not to rush the teenage defender, putting little pressure on him to hit the ground running in west London, football.londonwas told back in January.

Mathis Amougou is another one who is set to be loaned out over the summer transfer window. The Blues have plans to send the 19-year-old midfielder back to France next season and spend the season on loan with BlueCo-owned Strasbourg, sources have told football.london recently, with the former Saint-Etienne starlet very much seen as one for the future.

The aforementioned two players - who cost a total of £28million combined - could do with first-team experience under their belts at such critical stages of their respective careers. However, that does not look as if it will be at Stamford Bridge. Next season, anyway.

Another couple of players who could be loaned out for their own development are Josh Acheampong and Tyrique George. Both have been parts of the first-team this season, particularly George, but with Chelsea expected to once again strengthen in the summer transfer window, they could unfortunately fall further down the pecking order.

Acheampong has made eight first-team appearances in total across the course of the season, where he has filled in at right-back and in the centre of defence. George, meanwhile, has been called upon 18 times this term in all competitions but Chelsea are expected to be in the market for a left-sided winger come the summer, with the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens still believed to be on the club's radar.

Marc Guiu is another curious situation. The 19-year-old striker has made just two appearances in the Premier League throughout his debut season in England. Guiu impressed in the Conference League, with the teenage forward bagging six goals throughout the league phase of the competition. However, he was called upon just twice in the Premier League despite Nicolas Jackson being relied on heavily.

Guiu has spent almost two months out of action with a muscular injury and his return date has not yet become clear. The Spaniard, who the Blues have high hopes for, could spend next season on loan elsewhere, especially if the club are successful in their hunt for a top-class No.9 in the summer transfer window.
