Bayern Munich wanted to sign Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea in the last transfer window.
At one stage, it was being reported that Bayern had reached an agreement with Nkunku over a move.
In the end, the German giants were unable to agree a deal with Chelsea and the forward remained at Stamford Bridge.
Their interest in him is still there, but trying to sign Nkunku this summer could once again prove to be a very complicated task.

Mathys Tel could prevent Bayern Munich from signing Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea
Chelsea were also interested in one of Bayern’s players during the January transfer window.
Before his loan move to Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea were keen on Mathys Tel, only for him to end up at their London rivals.
Spurs could now sign Tel permanently. But if they do not, then Bayern will not be able to bring Nkunku to the Allianz Arena, according to Bild.
Tel’s loan to Tottenham has not been a huge success yet, so it will be interesting to see what the north London club do with him at the end of the season.

The Frenchman failed to score in any of his first four games in the Premier League. He is getting game time at Spurs, though, which would have been a concern had he joined Chelsea instead.

Tony Cascarino slams Christopher Nkunku
All in all, Tel and Nkunku are making little impact at their respective clubs right now, with the latter coming in for plenty of criticism.
It is quite fair to say that former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has not been impressed with Nkunku since his arrival in west London.
When Cascarino spoke about Nkunku and his Chelsea teammate Jadon Sancho earlier this week, he said: “Sancho, from the player I watched at Crystal Palace, who looked really good, has lost his way as the season has gone on.
“Nkunku, the guy I watched in Germany at Leipzig, and he really was a handful to play against, looks absolutely redundant in the Chelsea team. He doesn’t look like he’s going to cause any issue.”
A fresh start at Bayern working alongside Vincent Kompany could be what Nkunku needs, but a transfer to the German giants looks far from simple. It is going to hinge on Tel and what he wants to do with his own future it seems.
