One standout clip, showing the duo on a car road trip with Quincy “wo-hooing” in excitement, catapulted them to overnight stardom. In 2023, they recreated the video, which again went viral, amassing millions of views.
The “Quincy Vines” page boasts over 270,000 followers, while “Patrick Barnes Vine” nears 500,000.
In a heartfelt Instagram tribute, Barnes wrote, “To Quincy, the best dog I’ll ever have— my best friend. You gave me more than I could ever put into words. You opened up my world, letting me travel this country, meet countless people, and build the life I have today—all because of you. Your goofy spirit brought laughter to everyone around us, a gift I’ll never forget.”
“You’ve been with me for more than half my life, a constant through every chapter—before my first girlfriend, before college, before I got married and had kids. You were there. Even as you grew older, slower, and less like the wild pup you once were, your presence alone was enough bring me joy.”
Barnes continued, “Saying goodbye felt like losing a piece of myself, and I’m not sure when I’ll feel whole again. One of the saddest truths about life is that the things that bring us the most joy can also leave us with the deepest sorrow. But I’m so grateful for the 16 years we shared, and that I got to let so many of you witness the magic of you, too.”
“Quincy, I hope with everything in me that I’ll see you again one day. Until then, you’ll always be the heartbeat of so many of my happiest memories.”
