On March 12, 2025, Chinese Ambassador to Canada Wang Di joined the Podcast with Dan Donovan show hosted by Mr. Dan Donovan, editor-in-chief of the Ottawa Life Magazine and was interviewed by Mr. Donovan.
Ambassador Wang introduced the visions outlined in this year’s Two Sessions and elaborated on the latest and the most authoritative interpretation of China's foreign policy by Foreign Minister Wang Yi. He emphasized that in a changing and turbulent world, China's diplomacy will stand firm on the right side of the history and on the side of human progress, providing certainty to this uncertain world. He pointed out that China's economy will continue to be an important engine for the world economy, and China stands ready to share its vast opportunities of the Chinese modernization with all countries in the world, including Canada, and advance an inclusive and universally beneficial economic globalization.
Ambassador Wang also took questions about the tariff threats from the US government, the Ukraine Crisis, China’s countermeasures against the tariff imposed by Canada on China, as well as the prospects of China-Canada practical cooperation and people-to-people exchanges. The Ottawa Life Magazine released its Podcast and the script of the interview on March 18.
