Nottingham Forest will once again be scouring the transfer market during the summer window.
The Reds were fruitless by their usual standards in January, with no players being added to Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.
Evangelos Marinakis was keen to sign a striker. However, panic buying isn’t the order of the day these days and moves for Yoane Wissa and Matheus Cunha couldn’t be completed.
The links are already starting to emerge ahead of the forthcoming summer window.
With nine matches still left to play this season, Forest has been linked with Viktor Gyokeres, and it appears that a marquee signing will be on the radar.

Nottingham Forest want Sebastian Szymanski
Attacking players will very much be the order of the day for Forest when the window reopens.
The options are somewhat limited in those areas, with Jota Silva and Ramon Sosa not really making a huge impact during the 2024/25 campaign.
According to Aksam, Forest are eyeing a move for Fenerbahce star Szymanski when the window opens, along with Tottenham, Napoli and AC Milan.

It’s believed that a fee of £15 million could be required in order to take Szymanski in the summer, having joined the Istanbul-based club for less than £10 million.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed a brilliant 2024/25 campaign so far, scoring five goals and claiming nine assists from 42 appearances in all competitions.
What Jose Mourinho said about Sebastian Szymanski
The Fenerbahce head coach is a big fan of his number 10 who can also play in central midfield and has been keen to manage him for a while.
Speaking to TVP World, he said: “I’ve always followed him. He was on my transfer list when I was at Roma and I’m very happy that our paths have now crossed at Fenerbahce.
Forest would dearly love some actual competition for Morgan Gibbs-White’s place in that number 10 role.
Furthermore, signing another player for that position could allow the Forest captain to drop into the number eight a little more often, where he’s excelled this season.
Szymanski looks like a very competent signing for the Premier League and he’d also boast European experience if Forest do get into one of those spots for next season.
