Leicester City face one of the toughest tests they could ask for when they return to action next week as they face Manchester City.
New FA rules mean Leicester are having to wait to play against Man City, with the Foxes not due to return until Wednesday 2 April.
Whilst the form of some Leicester players on international duty has been great, results at domestic level haven’t been the same, with Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side losing every game since the 2-1 victory against Tottenham Hotspur in January.
It’s results like that which have Van Nistelrooy and co hanging onto their Premier League status by a thread and they could end up adding to their woes at the Eithad Stadium.

Leicester must scored against Man City to avoid 38-year record
Fans haven’t seen Leicester score in six consecutive Premier League games and if they fail to score against Pep Guardiola’s side, it would match an unwanted club record for the first time in 38 years.
Back in the 1987/88 season, the Foxes went seven games without scoring between mid-November and early January, subsequently leading to the sacking of manager Bryan Hamilton, who was replaced by David Pleat.
No side has conceded 1000 top flight goals quicker than Leicester, and no side has ever gone seven home games in a row without scoring, until the the East Midlands outfit did in the league defeat to Manchester United
In fact, Leicester fans haven’t seen their side score since the controversial 2-1 loss against Man United in the FA Cup back in early February.

The run of fixtures for Leicester isn’t kind either, with Newcastle United, Liverpool and Brighton & Hove Albion all still to come.
Man City may be performing below-par this season but are still a force to be reckoned with and have Champions League qualification on their minds.

Leicester were second favourites all along but as the head-to-head record suggests, it will be even tougher.
2021 was the last time the Foxes beat Man City, winning the Community Shield against them. They will need to challenge that energy again somehow.
