A young Palestinian man on Thursday morning was killed in southern Nablus, in the latest Israeli attacks in the northern occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
The ministry said in a statement that the Israeli army killed the 18-year-old Palestinian, Ismail Sharfa, near Huwara town, south of Nablus city.
According to eyewitnesses, the Israeli army seized his body.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army carried out further raids in areas across the West Bank, detaining more Palestinians.
More than 70 Palestinians have been killed and thousands displaced since the start of the Israeli onslaught in the northern West Bank in January, according to Palestinian figures.
Tension has been running high across the West Bank, where at least 939 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 7,000 others injured in attacks by the Israeli army and illegal settlers since the start of the Gaza war on Oct. 7, 2023, according to the Health Ministry.
In July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s long-standing occupation of Palestinian territories illegal, calling for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
