Manchester United legend Gary Neville has announced he has joined the board of watchmaker Norqain as he continues to ramp up his business interests away from football. The Sky Sports pundit has a number of ventures outside of the game after starting his own investment company Relentless.
Neville has built up a property portfolio, including a number of restaurants, owns the Hotel Football chain and has also invested in Salford City Football Club with his Class of 92 team-mates. The 50-year-old has become an iconic figure in the commentary gantry and punditry studio on Sky but has been taking notable breaks from matchdays to focus on his other efforts.
Now he has announced his latest move away from the game by teaming up with the Swiss watch company and said he was joining the company because it was a "good fit" and their values aligned with his.
"I've been following Norqain for some time now and really admire the brand's values and innovative, sporty timepieces," he said in a statement.

"As a challenger brand in the Swiss watch industry, Norqain is a perfect fit for me, and I'm thrilled to join Ben [Kuffer, CEO] and the team as a partner in the business here in the UK and Ireland. We share the same vision and challenger spirit, and I can't wait to get started."
Kuffer added: "I’ve played and followed football all my life. Gary’s leadership and captaincy on the pitch were legendary, and he is not only a fantastic person but also an outstanding entrepreneur."
Norqain were started by ice hockey player Mark Streit and sell timepieces that are sold for up to £11,000 and Neville's arrival coincides with the company's launch in the UK.
