**Justin Kluivert (Netherlands) and Dean Huijsen (Spain) – Clash of the Cherries**
This Nations League meeting between Netherlands and Spain produced two thrilling games.
Justin Kluivert started both games for the Dutch and Dean Huijsen was able to make his debut for Spain after he was subbed on in the 41st minute for injured Pau Cubarsi.
The first of the two games ended 2-2 after Mikel Merino produced a 93rd minute equaliser for Spain – after Kluivert picked up an assist for Cody Gakpo’s opener for the Dutch.

The following fixture, which took place three days after, saw both [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) players receive plenty of game time, with Kluivert testing his abilities in front of goal and Huijsen playing a full 120 minutes of football. The Spaniard even bagged himself an assist, looping a long ball through on goal for 17-year-old Lamine Yamal who put Spain in front in the 103rd minute. Spain would go on to beat Netherlands on penalties but both players will be happy to see each other back in training this week.
**Illia Zabarnyi – Ukraine**
Another Nations League tie which produced a close ending when Ukraine and Belgium faced each other twice. Unfortunately for the Cherries defender, Belgium won the tie when Lukaku scored a later winner to put Belgium ahead 4-3 on aggregate. However, Zabarnyi will be delighted to of gotten himself on the scoresheet after meeting a cross at the far post when Ukraine won the first leg 3-1.
**Milos Kerkez – Hungary**
A tough round of games for the Hungarian, losing to Turkey twice in the space of three days, the score being 6-1 on aggregate to the Turkish in the Nations League. The Bournemouth full-back played in a more attacking role this time round and even tested his shooting boots in the first leg, forcing the Turkey goalkeeper to parry the ball out at the near post for a corner when Kerkez had an ambitious attempt outside the box.

Moving away from the Nations League, David Brooks worked hard to aid Wales through the World Cup Qualifiers, beating Kazakhstan 3-1 despite a quite 62 minutes for the Welshman. However, Brooks came in where it mattered most on Tuesday night, when he scored a 96th minute equaliser against North Macedonia to the tie the scoring 1-1. The Cherries midfielder was in the right place at the right time after being subbed on in the remaining 15 minutes of the game, after a crucial touch from former Cherry, Kieffer Moore. That draw strengthened Wales’ World Cup hopes.
**Ryan Christie – Scotland**
Having aided their 1-0 win against Greece, Scotland were handed with a 3-0 defeat in the second leg, ultimately leading to their relegation in the Nations League A. Christie’s misplaced pass in the second leg helped the Greek to get their third goal to secure the win and demote Scotland’s Nations League journey.

Moving into Africa, we had more from the World Cup Qualifiers when Cherries forward Dango Ouattara represented Burkina Faso. Having played every minute for his nation, Ouattara provided an assist in their 4-1 win over Djibouti and came up with another assist in their next game in a 2-1 win vs Guinea-Bissau. Ouattara will be headed back to training on good momentum ahead of the FA Cup fixture this Sunday.
**Antoine Semenyo – Ghana**
Antoine Semenyo was also in World Cup qualifier action in Africa. It only took him two minutes to find the back of the net for Ghana as he kick started their thumping 5-0 win against Chad. His nation’s form continued as they would then go on to beat Madagascar 3-0, strengthening their chances of qualifying for the World Cup next year.
**Tyler Adams (USA) and Daniel Jebbison (Canada) – CONCACAF Crash out**
Across the Atlantic Ocean, the CONCACAF Nations League finals took place but it was one to forget for the Cherries boys. Tyler Adams made two appearances for the USA national side, but they fell short to Panama who snatched a winner in the last minute of the game to put them in the final.
In the other semi-final, Jebbison’s ten-minute cameo wouldn’t be enough as Canada were defeated by Mexico 2-0, meaning that USA and Canada would face off for third place. It would be Canada that would end up on top and seal third place, beating Mauricio Pochettino’s side 2-1, with Adams getting 69 minutes of game time and Jebbison remaining on the touch line.
**Alex Scott – England U21s**
Looking towards the younger international sides, Alex Scott competed in two high scoring games for England U21s against France and Portugal. Scott started for England against France at right-back, more defensive than his usual midfield spot, as England conceded five goals in a game that ended 5-3 to France.
Against Portugal, Scott helped to see out a 4-2 win for the Three Lions, aiming to boost his chances of getting into the England senior team, as he was slotted into his more formal right midfield positioning.
**Archie Harris – Wales U21s**
Making his debut, Archie Harris made his mark in Wales U21s 1-0 against Andorra, a key clean sheet to boost his international confidence. He would also go on to play Sweden in a 1-1 draw, and despite picking up a booking early in the first half, he helped to prevent his side from losing to the Scandinavian team.
**Callan McKenna – Scotland U19s**
To end off our international round up, 18-year-old goalkeeper, Callan McKenna played in two games for Scotland’s U19s. The Scotsman was substituted on for the remaining 24 minutes in their 1-1 draw against Sweden, not conceding any goals for the remainder of the game. A few days later, McKenna would start Scotland’s next game a few days later as they went to take on Poland U18’s to which was a tough result for the Bournemouth goalkeeper as Scotland lost the game 4-1.
