Nottingham Forest defender Nikola Milenković has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for March following the defender’s standout displays at the heart of the Forest defence.
The Serbia international maintained his record of completing the full 90 minutes in every game since August in both the Reds’ fixtures in the month.
Matz Sels kept his 12th clean sheet of the season to date against Manchester City, with Milenković playing an integral role in marshalling the defence against the Premier League champions at The City Ground.
With the Forest rearguard nulling the Citizens’ attack, Callum Hudson-Odoi was able to net the winner for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side with seven minutes remaining in NG2.
A week on from Forest’s success against City, the Reds were back on the road as we travelled to Ipswich Town.
The Serbian defender went forward for a corner and powered the ball into the Tractor Boys’ net from Nicolás Domínguez’s deflected knockdown.
Forest would go on to win 4-2 at Portman Road, the Reds’ second win of the month.
