The best paid players and managers in the Premier League have been revealed in a new rich list published by French publication L’Equipe - with one surprising top earner.
Erling Haaland is way out in front as the best paid player, with the Manchester City star said to be earning £537,750-per-week at the Etihad.
Haaland’s team-mate Kevin de Bruyne is in second spot on a reported £432,000-per-week and Casemiro and Mohamed Salah are tied in third on a reported £376,250-per-week.
Raheem Sterling, on loan at Arsenal from Chelsea, is in joint-fifth on the L’Equipe list with Marcus Rashford, with the pair earning a reported £349,000-per-week. Chelsea are subsidising a large chunk of Sterling’s wages while he is on loan at Emirates Stadium.
But there is one major surprise in the top earning managers in the top-flight.
Pep Guardiola leads the way on a reported £416,000-a-week, with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta in second on £309,000-a-week.
But then, above Liverpool’s Arne Slot, Manchester United’s Ruben Amorim, Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca and Tottenham’s Ange Postecoglou, is former West Ham manager David Moyes.
Moyes is said to be earning £257,000-per-week at Everton, having returned to Goodison Park in January for a second spell on Merseyside.
The Scot has done a brilliant job since taking over and steered Everton clear of relegation danger, so the Toffees will feel that has been money well spent.
