When it rains, it pours, and for Jadon Sancho, it’s belting down in his career right now from all fronts with no cover in sight.
Jadon Sancho’s loan to Chelsea in the summer was expected to be a clean break and a fresh start much needed for all parties.
Sancho started well at Chelsea too, even to the point that United were ridiculed for getting “scammed”, with Chelsea paying “just” £25 million for the player.
Fast-forward to the present and Chelsea are exploring options to send Sancho back to Old Trafford, even entertaining the idea of paying to do so.
Amidst this embarrassment, Sancho has been handed another blow as his latest demand has been rejected.

Jadon Sancho’s transfer blow
Sancho was already getting paid by Man Utd (a part of his salary) to play for a rival club which was embarrassing enough and then another was added.
Now, Chelsea were reported as exploring options to send him back, breaking an obligation in the process, hammering home how bad he’s been in London.
The third strike of embarrassment has now arrived from outside England via a team that isn’t even involved in these sweepstakes.
More United News
Just the thought of Sancho wanting a Dortmund return has been sensationally quashed by Sky Germany reporters, not mincing any words while doing so.
Patrick Berger, Sky Germany correspondent, said, “He’s not Borussia Dortmund’s priority, and certainly not the position. You don’t have the need for that position right now.”
Then came the ‘insane’ package that Dortmund will have to pay for a player they don’t even want.
Berger said, “The purchase option is around 32-35 million euros,” to which his colleague Jesco von Eichmann replied, “It’s not a hot topic at the moment, because it would obviously be an insane amount of money.”
They did add that the situation around him remains “interesting” and will be monitored but that’s effectively public-speak for “Hand over Sancho for negligible sum or we’re out”.
Man Utd vindicated over Sancho
It’s not often that United come out looking like the less guilty party after selling a player, the club infamously becoming a place where players just don’t perform.
However, Sancho’s struggles have vindicated United, and his acts of unprofessionalism have only served to heighten the sentiment around his struggles.
Now that his “safe haven” in world football, Dortmund have also rejected his advances, there’s still time for him to do some introspection.
Sancho recently turned 25 so he can use these happenings as a drive to put it all behind him, get his head down, and start working to rectify things.
Or he can do what he’s been doing all along – act like the wronged victim and continue to run away from accountability, leading to no improvements.
