Everton have Lens midfielder Andy Diouf on their radar to replace Abdoulaye Doucoure in the upcoming transfer window.
Doucoure’s current contract at Goodison Park expires at the end of the season, and he’ll be a free agent in the coming months if the Toffees can’t agree on a new deal.
Carlos Alcaraz was David Moyes’ only signing in the winter transfer window, but the Blues will evidently need to reinforce their engine room if the Mali international leaves.
The Friedkin Group (TFG) will seemingly need to bolster the Merseyside outfit’s squad next summer, and they’ve already identified one target.

It has been claimed that the Ligue 1 outfit’s manager, Will Still, is annoyed by the France Under-21 international’s inconsistency, but he remains highly valued in the market.
The Blues have the youngster on their shortlist if they end up needing a replacement for Doucoure in the coming months.

Moyes must push for Doucoure to stay
Doucoure has been pivotal to Moyes’ plans since his return to the Merseyside outfit in January, and a new contract offer should be made.
Idrissa Gueye is another player at Goodison Park who will be a free agent next summer if he isn’t tied down to fresh terms.
James Garner has been impressive for the Toffees in recent matches, but the former Manchester United midfielder is injury-prone.
Everton have several other players whose contracts will expire soon, giving TFG a big headache.
The Friedkins need to decide who they will keep at the Blues ahead of the move to Bramley-Moore Dock next season.
Doucoure and Gueye have done enough this season to deserve new deals, but it remains to be seen whether the American owners go in a different direction.
The two midfielders are in their 30s, and TFG may decide to go for younger players and reduce the squad’s age soon.
Diouf has been inconsistent at times for Lens, but he’s already shown flashes of brilliance in France.
