West Ham are set for a busy summer as Graham Potter reshapes his squad.
The Hammers boss is set to work closely with recruitment supremo Kyle Macaulay to reinvigorate the squad after the disaster that he inherited from Julen Lopetegui.
One area that has been identified as a weakness is centre-back, with the likes of Max Kilman, Jean Clair-Tobido, and Konstantinos Mavropanos failing to impress at the London Stadium.
However, the Irons may have found their first summer signing after a new update from Italy.

West Ham set for Oumar Solet signing
With the Hammers on the lookout for defensive reinforcements, Udinese star Oumar Solet has been identified as a potential solution.

A report from Italian outlet Messagro Veneto (27 March) claims that the Hammers are set to make an approach for the £ 25million rated French defender.
It states that the Italian club has lined up Gora Diouf of FC Sion to replace the 25-year-old, which suggests that a move could take place.

Potter is desperate for defensive signings
The Hammers need to prioritise defensive recruits in the summer transfer window as they have shipped a total of 49 goals in 29 matches in the Premier League this season.
If Potter is to take the East London outfit back into the top half of the table and have any chance of securing European qualification, he needs his backline to be much stronger.

Solet is highly rated within the game, and it was a shock when Salzburg allowed him to leave on a free transfer, but the Hammers signed Tobido instead, which is a decision that they may be regretting now.
Nayef Aguerd will strengthen Potter’s options when he returns from a loan spell with Real Sociedad, but the former Brighton boss may decide that he needs more than just one player to mould the squad to his playing style.
The Udinese ace would be a great start to the Hammers’ business in the market, but there are also holes in midfield and attack too, so it will have to be a strong window if the club are to compete at the higher echelons.
