Report: Former Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti set for talks over shock new role

Carlo Ancelotti has now been managing away from Everton for a number of years now but looks set for an exciting challenge.

Everton have moved on themselves since the Italian’s departure, with the Toffees looking in a strong position ahead of the summer.

David Moyes has worked his magic on Merseyside in transforming the club following a dismal run under the previous manager.

Even Sean Dyche has praised Moyes for his Everton turnaround as he admitted the Friedkins’ decision was proven correct.

But Everton fans have kept an eye on what Ancelotti has been up to since departing Merseyside.

Such a high-profile name will always see the fans warm to them, but it looks like his time in Madrid could be coming to an end.

Former Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti could now leave Real Madrid

Marco Silva has recently made an Ancelotti comparison at Everton as he took a dig at the fans and their lack of belief.

Ancelotti’s time on Merseyside was short-lived, but fans will certainly feel blessed to have had such an illustrious figure manage the club.

It is believed Ancelotti has asked Brazil to keep him in the loop, with talks over the role potentially set to take place in June after the FIFA Club World Cup.

This would see the 65-year-old depart Real Madrid ahead of the 2026 World Cup to manage one of the biggest national sides in the world.

Ancelotti once told Richarlison he could win the Ballon d’Or, soon he may have the chance to get the forward’s international career back on track.

The Italian has achieved an awful lot with Madrid and their fans will surely be as devastated as Everton’s were in he does leave.

What Carlo Ancelotti recently said about the England national job

Ancelotti has admitted he was not approached by The FA for the England national job prior to Thomas Tuchel’s appointment.

“No. I didn’t hear from the English national team at all,” he said.

“They’ve chosen a very good coach, in my opinion. He’s very strong tactically and he has proven so throughout his whole career. I wish him the best.”

However, Ancelotti may have provided Jarrad Branthwaite with more optimism over his future in the England side.

Tuchel snubbed Branthwaite from his first England squad for the recent World Cup Qualifiers against Albania and Latvia.

The 22-year-old will now need to impress the German ahead of June’s friendlies, otherwise it could lead to a very interesting summer on Merseyside.
