West Ham are already planning ahead for the summer transfer window.

The Hammers will look to strengthen the first-team and academy squads. The senior side has had a disappointing campaign, but the under-21s are currently third in the Premier League 2.

Academy-level signings are important, though, and West Ham have now added to their youth ranks for next season.

A signing has now been announced, and there is already one exciting aspect to the deal.

His agency, CAA Base, have now confirmed the deal, with the winger part of the same agency as several notable players.

“Congratulations to Northern Ireland youth international Joel Kerr who has signed for West Ham from Glentoran and will join the club in the summer,” they posted on Instagram.

New West Ham signing Joel Kerr shares same agency as Cole Palmer

Kerr is part of CAA Base, who represent a number of top-level footballers and prospects across the country.

Their most valuable asset is Chelsea star Cole Palmer, who himself enjoyed a stunning breakthrough campaign after departing Manchester City’s academy.

Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze, as well as Liverpool centre-back Jarrell Quansah, are also represented by CAA Base.

Southampton defender Kyle Walker-Peters, who has been linked with a summer move to West Ham, is also represented by the same agency as Kerr, and it remains to be seen whether they will engage in any more business with the Hammers.

Graham Potter may be aiming to build a younger side, and this could see experienced players make way for young talents.

Vladimir Coufal looks set to leave, and a prospect may be targeted to replace him, whilst Kerr is seen as one for the long-term.
