Premier League make'exceptional'change to transfer window for Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham

Premier League clubs have confirmed that there will be two separate 2025 summer transfer windows this summer, based upon the dates of the clashing FIFA Club World Cup.

A provisional start date of June 16 had been locked in, however this is two days after FIFA's revamped 32-team tournament to be held in the United States is due to begin.

It was FIFA's decision to grant special dispensation and allow regional governing bodies to open a brief period for business at their discretion.

All 20 English top-flight member clubs attended a meeting in London on Thursday morning and the subsequent statement was released confirming the dates for the two upcoming summer transfer window periods.

"Premier League clubs have today agreed the dates for the Summer 2025 Transfer Window," it read.

"The window will open early, between Sunday 1 June and Tuesday 10 June, due to an exceptional registration period relating to the FIFA Club World Cup.

"It will then reopen on Monday 16 June and close on Monday 1 September."
