A homecoming was due for Jimmy Butler at the Kaseya Center. The Golden State Warriors were visiting the Miami Heat and many expected a very different result in this game. But, Coach Erik Spoelstra and his squad started to show out to display their home-court dominance.
The Heat ended up winning with a score of 112-86. This got them their 31st win for the season which could lead to an eventual late push for a playoff position. Coach Erik Spoelstra knows how important this win was for their team and the home crowd.
He could not help but give his squad credit for making quick adjustments against the Warriors, via Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald.
"They inspire me to make sure I'm preparing and that we're doing our part. And it's a very resilient group to be able to continue to get up off the mat and tackle the next challenge. When you go through adversity, you have an opportunity," the Heat head honcho said.
As of the moment, the Heat are 10th in the Eastern Conference and are just a win behind the Chicago Bulls. Things did get tough before they faced Jimmy Butler and the Warriors. See, they have only won two out of their last ten games. Spoelstra is just glad that they are showing signs of getting out of this slump.
"When you're going through something really challenging and tough collectively and not just totally fall apart, I do believe that there's an opportunity for exponential growth from the tough times. And hopefully, we're getting there," he concluded.
The Heat are set to face the Atlanta Hawks next. After that, they have matchups against the Washington Wizards, Philadelphia 76ers, and Boston Celtics.
