Garrett Wilson: Jets Wide Receiver Dynasty Outlook

Garrett Wilson had a career year in 2024 but still finished below his ADP. What will Garrett Wilson’s dynasty outlook be with a new quarterback for the Jets in 2025?

Dynasty Outlook for Garrett Wilson

Current Production

After two disappointing years to begin his career, Wilson had a career year in 2024, finishing as the WR10 in PPR leagues. However, he still finished short of his ADP of WR7. Wilson had career highs in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns playing with the best quarterback of his career Aaron Rodgers. Even though the Jets offense was not great, Rodgers was good enough for both Wilson and Davante Adams to be productive in fantasy football.

Wilson has been consistent over his first three years in the league, playing in all 17 games each season and going over 1000 yards each season. The lack of touchdowns in his first two seasons led to his down years, only totaling seven in two years combined. He doubled his career total by catching seven this season.

Wilson finished the season as WR10 in total fantasy points, but he was only the WR21 in points per game. Wilson finished as a top five weekly wide receiver three times, but he only had two other finishes inside the top 20. He had seven weeks outside the top 30. There were just too many weeks where Wilson was not producing at the level he should have been.

Wilson Dynasty Price

According to KeepTradeCut, a website that crowdsources dynasty values from players that use the site, Wilson is the WR13. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Ladd McConkey are just above him, while A.J. Brown, Tee Higgins, and Rome Odunze are right below him. This is a reasonable range for Wilson as he is still a young receiver at 24 years old. Wilson is worth an early first-round pick in 2025 rookie drafts.

Wilson Dynasty Outlook

The Jets had an interesting offseason. First, they cut Rodgers and signed Justin Fields as the quarterback. Fields has a run-first mentality. Unlike Rodgers, who never scrambles anymore, Fields will look to scramble and take any yards he can get. This is bad for Wilson, as Fields will throw less than Rodgers did last season.

However, the Jets also let Adams go, and he signed a contract with the Rams. In the final four weeks of the season, Adams had at least twelve targets three times. In those three games, Wilson saw less than eight targets. Wilson was losing many targets to Adams, hurting his fantasy production. The Jets did not sign another big-name receiver. The WR2 on the team is Allen Lazard. Look for the Jets to draft a wide receiver early in the 2025 NFL Draft, but at this moment, Wilson is in line for a massive target share.

What To Do With Garrett Wilson in Dynasty Leagues

Wilson is a very interesting player in dynasty leagues entering 2025. The Jets will not pass much, but when they do, Wilson will receive a massive target share. Therefore, I am not looking to buy Wilson and will only sell him if I can receive one of the first two picks in a rookie mock draft where I can select either Ashton Jeanty or Tet McMillan. There has been a lot of hope for Wilson entering each season, but he has never been able to reach up to those expectations.
