Chelsea are desperate to reunite Cole Palmer with his fellow Englishman this summer. The player has been superb this season and has 12 goal involvements in Premier League.
The Blues will surely enter the summer window with an aim of signing a new striker. They want a young striker who can serve as backup for Jackson. In addition, they want him to compete for the starting position.

According to GiveMeSport, the Blues have Liam Delap as their top priority for the summer. Delap has been superb for Ipswich Town ever since joining them in summer 2024. He has scored 10 goals and picked 2 assists in 28 Premier League games this season.
Chelsea view Delap as a perfect fit for their plans. They want him to play as focul point whereas Palmer can roam freely around him to make the attack deadly. The report also states that the Blues are studying Delap’s playing style and physicality.

Palmer and Delap have both came through Man City academy. Palmer has became one of the best English players ever since joining Chelsea. The West London club believes that Delap can also take the similar route as his former teammate.
Lastly, Enzo Maresca has also been with Man City. He knows these players very well and hence can play a major role in brining Delap to Stamford Bridge. Ipswich Town will have to sell Delap if they get relegated. Even if they stay in Premier League, it will be hard to overlook a top offer especially if the player forces a move. But, they will surely earn a hefty profit from Delap’s sale.
