Raheem Sterling‘wants to join new Premier League club’- Arsenal staff concerned

Raheem sterling wants to leave Arsenal and join other premier league clubs. The English winger who plays for arsenal hasn’t made any impressive impact this season. He is currently on loan from Chelsea but has made only 23 appearances this season and scored 1 goal and provided 4 assists across all competitions. What’s more concerning is that he has started only 10 games in that, playing only around 954 minutes. It is also pretty evident that his future at Arsenal and Chelsea is not promising. Mick Brown former Man united scout stated that the 30-year-old winger has no future under Maresca.

Sterling was one of the promising wingers in the premier league while playing for Manchester City. But after joining Chelsea, his form started to drop drastically. Since he hasn’t made any major impact playing, clubs see him as a backup than a starter. Now to turn things around, Sterling has decided to leave the club but still wishes to play in the premier league.

Sterling had an impressive career under Pep Guardiola. He had scored 85 goals and provided 39 assist in194 appearances. His versatility to play in both wings makes him an important prospect for any club. But things started to take a different turn after this. He joined Chelsea to stand alone but hasn’t lived up to his potential. He made 14 goals and 7 assists in 59 appearances, which seemed unfortunate considering his potential. After his loan to Arsenal, he made 12 appearances and provided only 1 assist. More concerning factor is that, despite Arsenal facing many injuries, he failed to start upfront.

Next step for Raheem Sterling

The English winger is still a quality player. Given Sterling’s experience and successful track record, many clubs would still want him. He previously expressed his desire to play in the MLS one day citing his potential future. Many Saudi clubs would also offer a lucrative offer for him, but Sterling wants to stay and play in the premier league. It’s pretty evident that top clubs will not prefer him, but he can still play for other clubs. Mick Brown even stated “I think he’d still be a good option for a mid-table team like Palace, Brentford, Bournemouth”.

With Gabriel Jesus facing a knee injury, the Gunner’s need for a goal-scorer has popped in this summer transfer. It is also not surprising for the club as they decided not to sign him permanently. With the likes of Saka, Martinelli in Arsenal’s attack, Sterling has found himself relegated to the bench for much of his time. His return to Chelsea wont be a fairy tale either. Mike told “Chelsea were very quick to move him on last year, but he’s gone to Arsenal and can’t get a game even when they’ve been struggling with injuries up front“. Mike added “Chelsea don’t want him back, I’m certain he’s going to leave there“.

Sterling’s future remains uncertain until this moment, but the winger will be hoping to rediscover his form at a new club. Considering his talent and legacy, he is more likely to get attention from many clubs. It will be interesting to see where he ends ups. Going to Saudi seems more likely but its ultimately up to him to wait and grab an offer to play at the highest level.
