Zelenskyy says Ukraine coalition to work on security guarantees in coming period

**ISTANBUL**

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday said the so-called “coalition of the willing” for Ukraine will work on security guarantees in the coming period, as France hosted the coalition’s latest meeting.

“We will work on security guarantees (in) the closest weeks, and days. And I think this is very important not only for today, to think about our future,” Zelenskyy told reporters in Paris alongside UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer after the summit.

Thanking the UK and France for their leadership in the coalition, Zelenskyy said more pressure, particularly new sanctions packages, must be imposed on Russia until it stops the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Zelenskyy said some leaders in attendance have announced new military aid packages for Ukraine during the talks. “We are very thankful to all the leaders,” he added.
