Alan Shearer has instructed Liverpool to make a sensational move for Harry Kane in a bid to bolster their attack.
Despite the Reds being runaway leaders in the Premier League, the club have succeeded without a consistent striker. Kane has scored 32 goals in 37 appearances for Bayern Munich this season.

The 31-year-old striker's goals have helped put him on the cusp of his first career trophy in the Bundesliga. Yet, rumours suggest he could return to the Premier League, and Shearer thinks a move to Liverpool would be a win-win situation.
"Liverpool will be looking for a centre-forward in the summer, I don't doubt that, and Harry Kane would be a great option for them because of the size of the club, and he'll score goals," Shearer said to Betfair. "Whether Harry decides to stay in Germany or he decides to come back to the Premier League, he'll have options."
A return to England would likely result in Kane breaking Shearer's Premier League scoring record. However, Shearer showed his true colours with a classy response when asked about the possibility. "I've always said that if he comes back to the Premier League, then he'll have a really, really good chance of breaking my record," Shearer admitted. "I'm a huge admirer of him, and you can't be anything but because of who and what he is.
"My Premier League record won't last forever. I don't know how long I've been at the top of the charts, but it's been a great privilege to be there when you look at the number of top quality players there.
"The record will go one day, and when it does go, and if it's to Harry, he knows I'd be the first to congratulate him and shake his hand because if anyone deserves it, he does. At the moment, I'm still enjoying it, so long may it continue!".

Back in 2006, Shearer hung up his boots as the Premier League's top scorer with a remarkable 260 goals. Harry Kane had been hot on his heels, netting an impressive 213 goals for Tottenham Hotspur before his headline-grabbing switch to Bayern Munich in 2023.
While Kane sits in second place, the highest-ranked among active Premier League forwards is Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, who has racked up 184 goals.
The Reds might be on the lookout for fresh firepower in the summer, given Nunez's patchy form, with a tally of just seven strikes in 40 appearances this season. The £64million signing has struggled for starts under Arne Slot and there have been rumours of interest from the Saudi Pro League and Atletico Madrid.
Having penned a deal with Bayern that runs until 2027, Kane hasn't closed the door to a future Premier League comeback, especially with Shearer's record in sight. He even mentioned the prospect during his introduction as a Bayern player.

"People will talk about the record and Shearer, but I've got plenty of football left in my career," Kane explained in 2023. "For now, it's about trying to achieve things here and trying to push myself and the team to try and reach new levels with this club. That's all my focus is on right now."
Kane, who will celebrate his 32nd birthday in the summer, might not be an attractive prospect for clubs who are looking for a long-term solution. However, Shearer has defended Kane, who found the back of the net in both of England's matches during the international break, insisting that he won't lose his goal-scoring prowess.
"Harry Kane is a machine, and he'll always score goals," Shearer said. "Despite his age, if you provide him with chances or balls into the box, he'll find a way to put the ball in the back of the net, and that's the sign of a great goalscorer.
"Harry has always done it for England. I know there's been one or two debates about last summer, but if he's got players who are prepared to run beyond him, then that opens up space for him, and if you get to the byline like Declan Rice did and whip a ball across like that, he'll score goals. He's a great goalscorer and has been for so many years now."
